Wow. Just returned from the great state of Alaska. Our film was selected to show for the Anchorage International Film Festival. We met some amazing people and saw so many wonderful films. I am so exhausted and my whole body is tired including my head. So much stimulus. Mental, physical, emotional everything. Its all good! Wow.
Bendfilm fest just finished and we watched so many films my head is reeling. The best thing about the whole fest was all the inspiration that came out of it. Meeting other film makers and feeling all the passion that they have really made me want to make another Documentary. My sister and I are in the process right now of finding the next theme/ story we want to film. I am so psyched! Any ideas??? Kara
What a great wedding season. So many gorgeous weddings this year. I am in the midst of editing two right now and both amazing people and beauty everywhere. Not hard to be inspired with these kind of things all around. I am contemplating a behind the scenes movie from the perspective of every vendor. Wouldn't that be awesome? The next reality show? Speaking of movies, a short documentary film my sister Bridget and I co-produced titled "Finn and the $20 bill" was excepted into the Bend Film Festival. We are so thrilled and honored. It is really going to be a fun festival. I can't wait to make another film! Back to editing... Kara
My computer is defraging. ugh, I hate when the computer is sick. Can't get anything done. Guess it helps me to take time to really think my intentions through.
I have been busy with a few great fun projects the last few months. All of them creative and challenging. It has been a blast. Began and finished production on the first of the Bend Parks and Recreation TV show, Recreation Connection. It was so much fun and we are now in production on the Sept. episode. We have gotten to go rock climbing, white water rafting, hiking, and mt. biking already. I cant wait to experience more! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OkRI9xhudQw
I just finished production on the Sisters Folk Festival commercial and highlight and now I am excited about going to the shows again in late September. Great music!
Weddings this season have been so amazing. Beautiful couples and fun too. I love that the new thing around here is to have a candy table. Yummy. More later, defraging has stopped... Kara

Here's the new Bella Brides Commercial. I love the way it turned out! Thank you Dennis McGregor for the beautiful music.
isn't it one of the major challenges in life to find the balance between work and family? Lately I am being inspired by all the other amazing creatives out in the world. I am even enjoying commercials. Its nice to have images and ideas challenge you a bit.
This is an underwater picture of my prego belly a year and a half ago. (Thank you Brent McGregor) I love this image. I have been thinking about how it came about and think it was a life changing moment. You know when you have this great idea but you aren't sure how to make it happen? Well, this was one. But then I read an article about Brent and his underwater photography of high elevation mountain lakes. I gave him a call and told him I was looking for underwater pictures of my belly. He said let's give it a try. We had one fun and crazy day in a friends pool and this photo is just one of the results. I love it when people who are creative come together to make a beautiful thing! That is my newest realization, working with other people can be one of the most amazing ways to produce and the pieces you come up with, combining everyone's vision, is inspirational and unstoppable.
Fun shoot last night in downtown Bend. Myself, my sister, a beautiful bride in a beautiful dress from Bella brides, Nicole and her baby girl. We were looking for great artsy night shots with lights and high contrast. We were getting honks and one woman cried because "the bride and dress were so beautiful!" It was a blast. Hope to have the commercial up by next week so you will see the results for yourselves.
